The Hunter Dragon 400 is a self-contained mobile heating unit mounted on a two-wheel towable trailer equipped with rubber tyres, hand-brake and a pintle eye tow-bar. It will provide up to 400 000 Btu (421 920 kJ) of warm air per hour. All engine and heater functions can be controlled from the control panel mounted under an access door on the right-hand side of the unit. The control panel is illuminated for operation in reduced light conditions and has a removable protective cover. The Dragon 400 has been tested with DF1, DF2, DFA and JP4 fuel. Cold start testing at –65° F (-54° C) has been carried out on the heater in trails for use in cold climates. The air output temperature is adjustable from 150 to 280° F (66 to 138° C). A 15-foot (4.57-metre) long, 12-inch (305 mm) diameter flexible air duct is provided as standard equipment. Additional air ducts can be supplied to extend the reach of the heated air. Both the flexible air duct and the exhaust stack are mounted on specially designed carriers for transport.
